Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support about the documentary that I filmed for Arte. There is a link to watch the documentary on YouTube at the end of this article and when you watch it you will be able to choose the subtitle option.
I so enjoyed having the opportunity to tell the story of The Good Kitchen and I know that in years to come I will appreciate having the documentary to look back upon. The Director Peter told the story beautifully and with a great sense of compassion and sensitivity. He was very mindful of the fact that the priority was to deliver the meals and on many occasions I even forgot that he was in the background filming.
As I watched the documentary I was reminded of how far we have come in a short period of time. I opened the kitchen at the end of June 2021 and now we are cooking for many people from the town. I remember the first time I cooked here with one hob and one pan. It did not matter though as all of the meals were made with love and I am happy to say that the locals really enjoyed the food.
I hope you enjoy the documentary as much as I enjoyed filming it. Let me know your thoughts as well and I am here if you have any questions.
